Reload have been performing in the Sussex and surrounding area since 2005. As the band’s reputation grew, it has moved up to a new level, recognised around the South East region as one of the premier wedding/function outfits. Reload’s established vocalist and front person, Jennie Castell is progressing her successful solo career, so has reduced her availability for the band. To maintain the high standard expected of Reload, we are joined by two experienced singers; the powerful Melissa White and soulful Tracey O'Reilly. Whether with Jennie or Melissa & Tracey, the band will provide the high quality you have become accustomed to. The rhythm section of Jon Dawes on drums and Steve Biggs on bass provides a backbeat with decades of experience and singer / guitarist, Neil Oglieve gives the band an alternative edge to compliment the power ballad vocals.
Pre-mixed interval music, use of the PA for speeches and a special dedicated request song for the band to play at a special part of your event, will all be included.
Reload are always aware that you have a budget to work within and charge very realistic rates to give you an evening of great music at a price that won't break the bank!
Jennie Castell (lead vocals) was chorally trained from the age of six and has performed on stages up and down the country since 2000 including as a Bluecoat for Pontins, lead singer in a number of bands and a successful solo career. She powerfully delivers many different genres of music which highlights her versatility and range. Jennie is most at home belting out challenging numbers from Heart to Leona Lewis and has been with Reload since 2010 expertly reproducing the retro sounds of the last 60 years!
Melissa White (lead vocals) knew from a very young age, that she wanted to perform, usually with a hairbrush in front of the TV dancing and singing to Top of the Pops! She joined her local school band "The Millstones" who played around Sussex and did two tours in Germany. Melissa also performed with a choir at Brighton Dome and at the Royal Albert Hall. Her natural ability to harmonise effortlessly along with a passion for singing will always be in her blood. Influences include Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush and Abba (with a bit of 70-80's disco thrown in!)
Tracey O’Reilly (lead vocals) has always felt passionate about music and from as early as she can remember was determined to do nothing else! Inspired by Stevie Wonder, Tracey taught herself to sing at the age of nine and by the age of fifteen was singing publicly. Further influenced by Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight and Randy Crawford, Tracey performed in various bands from The Ronnie Keene show band to a Gospel Choir. Singing has always and continues to be Tracey's passion, heart and soul!
Neil Oglieve (vocals & guitar) was a founder member of Reload and has seen the band evolve into the well-polished covers band they are today. Neil’s heart is in the 80's really, but he loves all the genres Reload cover. “I never thought I would be in a band who cover the sort of songs we do”, he has commented, “from Disco to rock and everything in between!” Neil also runs, Studio 102, a small recording studio, where Reload put together their ideas for forthcoming events and he builds the synth backing tracks, that Reload require for the big authentic stage sound they create.
Steve Biggs (bass & background vocals) was originally inspired to pick up a guitar by the Beatles then switched to the bass and has never looked back. Other early influences include The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Led Zep and many more since. Equally at home playing 60’s beat, 70’s disco, glam & prog rock, 80’s/90’s pop & indie through to modern dance music, Steve has played in clubs, pubs and functions with bands across the home counties since the 70's and has been reliably laying down the low end for Reload since 2007.
Jon Dawes (drums & background vocals) has been a drummer and percussionist since his school days, playing in numerous bands and orchestras and he enjoys a wide variety of musical styles. Being in Reload has allowed him to play some of the very best music ever written. Jon is also the technical mastermind behind much of the modern technologies that Reload use, including the midi controlled DMX lighting shows sychronised to the songs to produce a very unique visual experience added to the great audio show delivered by Reload.
